Snacks – A Love Hate Relationship American Style

Snacks a love hate relationship the American style. Whether you are a mother looking for the best for her child or a business tycoon, you cannot fight food cravings. Please comment below to let us know what you think.

You may know these as the super synthetic, likely non-biodegradable cake snacks — the ones with a shelf life spanning years, if not decades (okay, maybe just 45 days). Twinkies were invented in Schiller Park, Illinois[9] on April 6, 1930, by James Alexander Dewar, a baker for the Continental Baking Company. En route to giving a presentation on his idea, Dewer saw a billboard for Twinkle Toe Shoes. With that, the adorable name — and the tasty treat to go with it — was born.

Critics and health nuts be damned, Ritz, Lay’s, and Doritos have taken the top spots in a new ranking of the top junk-food brands in America. Brand Index interviews 5,000 people every weekday, apparently, and their latest poll revealed that men tend to rate Doritos higher than women do, at least compared to the next two snack-makers on its list — Fritos and Orville Redenbacher. BrandIndex asks, “Do you have a general positive feeling about the brand?” with the measurement scores ranging from 100 to -100, a zero indicating equal positive and negative feedback. All of which may go to show just how tightly the Frito-Lay Company dominates your between-meal eating habits — the conglomerate owns five of the top ten brands on the list, $13 billion in annual sales, 62% of U.S. salty snacks, and truly globalized reach. We’ll still take Cheez-Its at the vending machine, but still.

Lay’s – owned by Frito-Lay, division of PepsiCo

PepsiCo has introduced a new clothing line for consumers to make snacking on Frito-Lay’s Cheetos more memorable.

Each bag of LAY’S Classic Flavor Potato Chips is a little reminder of how good the simple things are. Nothing is as perfectly seasoned as the traditional taste and crispy crunch that has made LAY’S Classic Flavor Potato Chips an American favorite for over 75 years.

Maker: Frito-Lay

Nevermind the fact that your smoke session left you with a serious case of cotton mouth, these onion flavored corn chip rings are one of the go-to snacks for stoners. The salt is the last thing you need, but the first thing you crave, so you keep a bag of Funyuns on deck when the inevitable snack attack arrives.

There probably isn’t anyone in America who hasn’t at least once found their fingers covered in sticky orange cheese puff dust. The most popular brand of these puffed-corn snacks are Cheetos, but Americans can get their cheese balls or cheese curls from many manufacturers, including Utz, Wise, and Herr’s.

Originally introduced to the snack enthusiasts in the USA back in 1912, the Nabisco Oreo Cookies are America’s most loved cookies and the best seller in the country. Most citizen of the world have heard about Oreo cookies and there are a few countries outside of the US including England that offer their own version of this delicious snack. However, nothing beat the authentic American Oreo cookie and World of Snacks now exports Oreo and other American cookies and ships them all around the world.
